Due to limited space we are not able to keep all types and sizes of food in stock. We are happy to order items in on a SPECIAL ORDER basis. If you could let us know on or before Monday-especially if we have a holiday Monday- and we order on Tuesday and items should arrive on Wednesday unless there is an issue with the supplier. We can let you know when your item has arrived. Please call ahead if you have not heard from us to make sure your items has arrived. There are sometimes delays that are out of our control such as truck break down or bad weather or items on back order.
***You may be asked to pre-pay for your item or pay a deposit because we have had some folks order items and then change their minds and not pick them up and we are then charged a restocking fee to return items.
We appreciate your cooperation!
A Plea For Those Who Cannot Help Themselves – Grand Pre Cat Rescue
My name is Lisa Isaacman and I am writing on behalf of WAAG (We Are Animal Guardians). The purpose of this letter is to ask for donations to help us rescue a group of 20+ neglected cats and kittens that have now been abandoned in the Grand Pre area. These cats have lived a very difficult life in deplorable conditions, and we now have the opportunity to give them a second chance. Without our intervention, these cats would be euthanized. Your support will help us save as many of these neglected and abandoned animals as possible. We require donations to help us cover the costs of medical testing and treatment and spay and neuter. These cats would then be able to be placed in foster homes and forever homes. Please help us give these animals a second chance!
Please contact Lisa (email@example.com) if you have any questions and/or are interested in fostering or adopting a cat.
Donations can be made in person at the Valley WAAG Animal Shelter at 12-112 Front Street (in the Wolfville Animal Hospital) by cash, credit card or debit or online via PayPal at http://valleyanimalshelter.com/donate/. Please specify that the donation is to be directed to the Grand Pre Animal Rescue.
Since the shelter opened on a small scale in 1988 we have trusted the assistance of many volunteers in our county. Many of our volunteers have gone on to careers in the medical or science fields, including veterinary medicine. Each and every volunteer has had the unique opportunity to expand their hearts and minds at the shelter.
We encourage anyone who wants to volunteer with our organization to please come in and discuss the opportunities.
