Therese Duffney adopted a beautiful long haired black and white female cat named Georgina and renamed her Jasmine April 15, 2011. She started writing to her sister Vaunda about how Jasmine was settling in-from Jasmine’s point of view. From these letters she created her first book Jasmine Comes Home. It is a charming little story.

Thank you to all who donated volunteer time, money, supplies to our shelter and to all who adopted a new kitty from us. We had 19 adoptions in December and a total of 148 for the year. We are very fortunate to have the help of quite a number of volunteers who help us in many ways to keep this shelter running. Hopefully 2012 will be a great year for adoptions!

We are in need of the following items: hand sanitizer, HE laundry soap, dish detergent, white vinegar, bleach, cat toys, small pet blankets, small litter pans, plastic coin rollers. Cash donations are always welcome and can help provide such things as vaccinations, food and medical care.

If anyone has extra yarn and would like to donate it to our wonderful lady that makes the catnip mice it would be greatly appreciated.

Please check before bringing newspapers or shredding as we have limited storage space.

We have a number of beautiful cats over the age of 2 years. Some of them were spayed or neutered before arriving at our shelter therefore they can be adopted for less than the regular adoption fee . We usually have quite a selection of kittens and younger cats available in a wide variety of colours and sizes for the regular adoption fee. They all need a loving home and provide you with hours of entertainment.
